My disappearance..

Sorry guys,

I've been busy trying to heal a sprained ankle with ADV voodoo magic. My dirtbike is in pieces because it tried to digest a roller bearing. A website charged me three times for an expensive purchase. My KLR needs its new petcock installed. My 3D printer decided to strip out an extruder wheel. My GoPro helmet mount was ripped off and smashed to pieces. I got a DNF in my race last Saturday do to my bikes indigestion. My wife's phone got disconnected from the bank account issue. But hey, the adventure goes on. Looking forward to the ride tomorrow. Here are some pics...

I'm gonna take off from back yard and over the Hualapais, down county 129 (Blake Ranch Rd.) and down the track toward Burro Creek Campground. May stay there tonight or go a little farther south. Only an hour from there to the Safeway in Wickenburg.

Hope to see some of youse guys there in the AM.

Wow. If only there was a device you could use to make a new wheel.

Sounds like a less than terrific week, hope it all gets sorted soon.

I do have a machine that will do such a thing. That's why I printed a spare a long time ago. Still a pain in the ass though....

Got a Yamaha Grizzly 80 for sale if any of the locals are looking for a quad for their kids.

I too am _much_ to tired, after taking off from The CattHouse about 2:20 and following a bunch of 2-track til I got turned around by... SNOW!

Back down to DW Ranch, across Sweet Water Rd (old 93 right of way) onto Cty Rd. 129. I was figuring on camping at Burro Creek tonight. Until I realized (where's the D'Oh emoticon?) I had left my SPOT at home.

So, I'm back home. I'll just leave here really early in the AM and still be at the Safeway, 9 AM. (Only a couple hours on pavement so no big deal really.)

Taking off from my back yard is pretty rocky.

Yes, Uncle Larry and I were headed west on 60 as youse guys headed east. Was that Gordon in front of you? Didn't recognize him if it was.

I rode west to the 71 intersection then turned toward home. Got just after 5 this evening. All is good but I'm really tired.

I'll do some write-up too with a couple pics. In the meantime, here's a link my SPOTWalla track. Tho the red track has a lot of "straight" sections, if ya zoom in you can see the trails we were actually on. SPOT just draws a straight line between spots.

The green tag at 12:35:17 was our lunch spot.
Zoom on the spot at 18:09:31, it shows the link between two pieces of Dutch Flat Rd. where we probably should'a turned right, might of kept us out of some of that sand wash.

Looking forward to your report.

Oh, and don't worry too much 'bout the hat, I have another just like it. I'll catch up with youse guys again.

I'm tired.
