A few folks have asked if they can bring a support vechicle.

For Roaming Rally, no problem. 3 campgrounds that can all be connected with paved roads (2-3 hour drive between campsites)

For the Explorers Edition it's not really feasible. The roads between campsites would be on some of the same roads as the route as there are no paved roads. Besides, the Explorers is about travel bikes...support trucks just wouldn't be right.

For Christ's sake! It's a MOTORCYCLE riding event. Not a picnic.

No charge for them either as I am sure that will be the next question...

Having the truck and trailer was nice as it allowed our wives to play an active role and was really nice last year when we handed in our man cards in the cold rain on the last day and had the truck and trailer come pick our pre-hypothermic soggy souls up at Tim's. Anecdotally I guess we would have had our rain gear and layers with us if we didn't have the luxury of leaving extra kit in the trailer....damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Meh I'm ok with it. I've suffered plenty in other areas of my life to buy me a pass. Like the time I rode my GSA to Starbucks and it was closed, absolute misery and not anything I'd wish on my worst enemy. Good thing BMW had road side latte assist.
