Frankly, the only way I see Lorenzo pulling off the title is if Marquez gets antsy for spots and starts pushing to make passes. Otherwise, if he displays the maturity again like he did at Motegi, he has the title wrapped up.

Interesting times to be sure.

1 of my favorite riders already wrapped up his title (Way to go Pol!!!) and my boy Maverick is still in the thick of it. Unfortunately, Vale has had one of "those" years. Hoping to see him much more competitive next season.
So I am left debating...LOVE to watch Marc ride but part of me doesn't want the upstart rookie to take a title his first year and risk him becoming an insufferable prick...like Jorge

Maverick!

With a name like that (and coming from the country that gave us the classic Top Gun), how can I root for any other?

One can only hope Nicki ghostrides his long suffering Ducati off a ramp into a pool or pond.

Gotta be frustrating to hope for a strong 7th all season,I hope things go better for him next year.

Certainly gives Lorenzo more of a chance.

I must be a very sad soul, because for a reason unfathomable to me I am licking my lips at the prospect of Pedrosa taking Marquez out in some confusion of intentions and hopes. But wouldn't wish it until the last lap or so.

Edit: given this is a fantasy, I am of course assuming no injuries.
Marquez DID take Pedrosa out by bumping the back of his bike handily eliminating Dani's chances, you just never know what can happen.

That would be Hilarious!

And remember Marquez has a propensity to crash in practice pretty hard....maybe it bites him this week? I'm sure they have told Baustista to stay the hell away from him in the in the first few corners

I also thought I wouldn΄t like to see MM succeed straight away, rather have the “old masters” teach him a lesson or two first... but the way he΄s ridden all year (and the way he got DQ΄d in Oz), now I actually want to see him do it, and preferably spank JLo in the process, so there won΄t be any room for speculation.

But I have a feeling, that it won΄t be so easy for him this weekend. Now he really needs to keep his head cool in every session.

Agreed- one "penalty point" in practice or Q2 and a back of the grid start for MM. Not too far fetched.

Of course it would make for a VERY interesting race- could he get back up to 4th at the finish? I wouldn't bet against it.......

I wouldn't bet against anything happening this weekend. Marquez battles Lorenzo then pulls cleanly away and wins. Lorenzo wins after the battle. Marquez goes ape shit, crashes, and is out of it. Lorenzo and Marquez both go ape shit, take each other out, and Pedrosa wins with Rossi second... any of it could happen.

Of course, Lorenzo will win and Marquez will get second with Pedrosa third and it will be predictable and that's the championship this year.

I'm curious if MM is going to push his boundaries to try and win the race, or if he's going to keep calm and just make sure he gets 4th or better. I'm betting he'll be pushing himself to win the race.

This is the post of the season for me.

I've long been a fan of Hayden's and this year, especially after being told he was out of a job at season's end, has to have been his toughest season ever.

If he were to ghost ride it into the garage at the end of the race....
Not very professional I know, but boy it'd have to make you feel a bit better no?
