Tensions are high in the Repsol garage as there is a big let down lurking about. Will Valencia be another link in Honda's chain of controversy?

Lorenzo is his usual calm and highly focused self, free to race his own race without team related drama.

It ain't over til it's over.
there is huge pressure on Lorenzo and his team too...

The "Bump"

JLo bumping Marquez as MM was lining up to do a practice start at the end of FP1 was fooking brilliant.

We are witnessing a truly classic season, filled with controversy, bravery, genius, and two riders raising the stakes week after week. It may be subtle, but the best stuff almost always is.

There's another bloke well and truly in the mix........Crutchlow. Last race for Tech 3, he won't be taking any prisoners!

Out of respect of my fellow posters I'LL not start in with my overt admiration of how JLo has executed these last few races. But, yea, we've seen some incredible performances this year.

Lorenzo looks calm, Marquez does not, though I think all the other Yamaha riders and teams are looking for a piece of the action. They are the hunters, Marquez is the hunted.

While normally Marquez is unshakable, this isn't a normal race situation.
If ever Marquez could crash out of the lead, it could happen here.

Heck, last Moto3 race, 2 contenders DNF'd.

If Lorenzo ends up as Champ, it's pandemonium time.

Right now, it's MM's championship to lose.

That's the biggest pressure.

For anyone without the motogp video subscription there is a free video on the site with VR and JB talking of their split.

MM seems to bear the pressure just fine. FP3, new best lap @ Valencia.

I wonder if Lorenzo has the capability to jump out in front, then slow the pace enough to get MM caught up in traffic a little bit. There are four or five guys who could cause problems if the pace is a few tenths off.

Too risky. If someone gets past him and Lorenzo finishes 2nd, then Marquez only needs to finish top 8. That's too safe a bet.

Yeah, that would be a tricky little game.

Hey, another great year for you, btw. I see more and more people are going to you first for MotoGP news.

Thanks! It's been pretty good. And I hope I can do even better next year.

Lorenzo, FP4: what pressure?

Check out Lorenzo's lap times for FP4. Top of the chart.

Twenty laps, and every one except for his sighting lap in the 1:31s.

For context, Crutchlow, fifth fastest, managed ONE lap in the 1:31s.

Marquez managed seven.

But the stunner is Lorenzo's consistency. Laps 6 to 12 inclusive were all 1:31.4s or 1:31.3s.
