Holly Shelter, North Carolina

Anyone familiar with the trails in the Holly Shelter game land near Wilmington, NC?

I've ridden and hunted there a few times. It's not a good idea to ride there during deer season except on Sundays. Check with Icecold Dan. He lives nearby and rides there
I'd rather be lost in the woods, than found at home.

Holly Shelter is one of the last "green" spots remaining in SE NC. It isn't very technical for an experienced rider, just lots of gravel/sandy roads and a few logging roads thrown in. There are several mud holes but are, for the most part, not very deep. The Angola gamelands lie north of Holly Shelter and there are more gravel roads to explore, if you can call it that. Not destination material for sure but dirt roads if you happen to be in the area. Have fun!
