Help put your bike in the container. That.s it. Simple
It will leave for Long Beach California when it is full enough.
Probably looking at two months to fill and another couple to get to LB.....so don.t be in a hurry.

Container is $4500 total.....we are looking to split it as many ways as we can.

The end?

Cangats to the end!
It's sat morning couldn't sleep.
Read the last 15 or so pages this morning.
I fell behind reading your blogs because of getting busy at work. All new people except for nick and one other,
Glad to hear you will be back so soon, monday?
I didn't expect you until April. I guess I will not have to file an extension after all.
You can work for me to pay off your trip this tax season. But noooo time for riding. We'll maybe not such a good idea,
Hope to see you soon.
I hear the alarm it's 6:30 am and off to work.
Where did the night go oh ya reading Tucker's Tdf!
Can't wait to see you guys.

Ymmv, but interesting. Surely, there will be more than 10 bikes to ship this season. Or as my dear, earthy and now gone grandmother used to say, "There ain't much money can't fix."

Aww thanks Dennis. Yes, Monday is the plan. We are at Ushuaia airport now and our DR's are in the container!

WORK......last time one of Colleen's relatives suggested WORK when we complained about money we said "we can see we are going to have to get new friends and relatives, work is out of the equation"

As soon as there are four bikes or when the snow starts to come (April) the container will start to ship.

Anyone reading this can pass on our info to join our shipping. It's an easy process, nothing much to do really.

tuckers to tdf

If you are in Ushuaia and want to shop in a neighborhood where the locals are:

ride along Maipu until the first roundabout, take a right on
Fuegia Basket or Kuanip
then look for cross street Juan Peron.....normal shops there...........
just a local area with regular folks, no tourists.

Yet further up the hill there are more HOSTELS...........it's crazy, they are all over.

Shipping help:

Osvaldo Lavado
Fuegia Basket 584 Ushuaia Argentina

02901603785

osvaldoelavado@speedy.com.ar

His cost to us was $250 per motorbike.
He will store the bike in a container until shipping time, two or three months...he will wait to co-ordinate with other motorbikes to bring container cost down. You can leave camping gear, spares, tools, luggage, clothes, helmet stuff on bike.

Give him Power of Attorney ($25 or so) you can use his Escribina.

He will take care of Aduana and arrange Hamburg Sud container.

He also has done many destinations...Africa, East Coast USA, Italy, France....just ask.

You go to his house and interact with his family. His daughter Mercedes speaks good English...his wife enough to get the job done...him...not so much.......

tell 'em I sent ya

And too soon it is all over...!

Thank you for taking us along for the ride and adventure.

And a + for Colleen. One in a million! How many women, retired at that, are ever willing to discover the world you did? They most certainly are the poorer for it.
