In the case of Abraham, your rich Daddy buys you a team

I think he showed he belonged his first season, but injuries and crashing make me question it now. His daddy did not buy him the Moto2 win and that makes him more worth a ride than some of the others.

Sometimes winning the passport race is enough.

Not always. Its a cycle. Having the right passport may be helping Americans at the moment but racers from many countries have benefited from having the right passport at the right time. Politics of the sport.

Five years ago, having a British passport and an FIM licence was an almost automatic ride. Right now, there are so many Brits in MotoGP that Dorna is trying to kick them out. And Dorna is desperate to be shot of Hector Barbera, and maybe even Bautista. But Barbera brings money, and Bautista is too talented to lose.

Barbera I get. What's wrong with Bautista? Is it the Flock of Spaniards passport?

Yes - this was the part that made me . So for clarity - are there some MGP riders who are winless for their entire careers?

I have a passport.

I think I'll make an application. What could possibly go wrong?

Probably nowhere near as good,or expensive!!,as the team behind Col Edwards....Who freely admits his younger teammate on the same machinery has way more balls...

Sorry. Not getting this.

Maybe Karel's rich dad should swap his support? Or better still, sponsor me!! I've won a few!

I think Colin's and maybe to a point, Nicky's personality ensure their seats. I like hearing both of their opinions on race and current happenings. I would much rather hear them over some monotone, robotic rider drone on about their sponsors in a recited speech.

I don't care if Karel is there because he has a rich daddy. It is not like he is finishing dead last every race. I grew up around drag racing at the professional level and everyone there is because of money and not their talent.
