Very hard to get to a podium...

Would like to see Aliex mix it up with the satellites (should that be Factory 3??)

IMHO, Bradl and Bautista just don't have that final % to get there, no matter what they are sitting on.

But AE wasn't that bad last year- and now he is on much better equipment...and hungry.

Fuck me, that's awesome . . . I wish they'd bring that back or maybe allow the Moto3 class to run full fairings.

Who would've guessed Ducati/Stoner would win the 2007 championship? They knew they couldn't really win without an advantage, so they took a shot at developing the Bridgestones, and it paid off. Not saying they did anything wrong then or now, but that it's not surprising the Japanese and Dorna are resisting Ducati's thinking outside the box this time around.

edit: saw this just now: "Jorge Lorenzo believes he would have a better chance of winning back the premier class crown on Aleix Espargaro’s Open-spec Yamaha YZR-M1." I know you said "pilots", but it's an interesting declaration Lorenzo is making.

And so another alternative is the FIM's pesky and short-sighted restriction of the engine swept volume to 500cc when it set up the world championship for 1949. Which I can guess was aimed at filling the grids, keeping costs down and promoting variety.

Very good point!

I raced at the Road America round of the AHRMA series in 1988 and Eric Bley had one of these there.
I neglected to put my earplugs in and that was a big mistake. I got behind the DKW for a while and it was a painful position to be in. This was the loudest bike I've ever been around !

On the same page here man... early clock-off and home for some bikes!!!
Interested to see what sort of a job BT do with the racing.
Seemed like the Beeb sort of lost interest with MotoGP, enjoyed the world feed for Moto2 and 3 though.

Have you watched much of the Motogp stuff on BTsports so far? I've been pleasantly surprised with what I've seen so far.

motogp 2013 review
moto2&3 2013 review
Jorge documentary
Casey documentary
Marquez documentary
2002-2012 decade of motogp (2hr show)
2014 season preview
etc
etc

all well worth watching, the team are doing a great job imho.
well worth £15 a month imho

Roll on 15:00

You've pretty much hit upon what has soured me on this whole season. Honda sets the rules. Someone else finds an exploit that Honda isn't using. Honda gets the exploit exposed and threatened("OK, you can do that. But don't you dare be better than Honda!"*fingerwaging*), or outright closed.

For sure Aleix would be happy to swap seats (and salaries) with Jorge anytime. The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.
