Listening to his interview (the one before his retirement announcement) and how he is having difficulty adapting to the "Yamaha customer bike" plus his lack of speed compared to his teammate- his retirement at the end of this season seemed inevitable.

Thanks for your riding skill, your championships and especially for your laughs, Colin.

Perhaps someone mentioned this earlier, but to me, the "Drive" logo on Nicky's bike looks like it's saying "drivel."

Scott Russell is a giant douche. Colin is the man, he'd make a great commentator on HBO or some other such network profanity is allowed.

Black armband day for the media. Most quotable rider in recent memory.

VR stated today that he doesn't need to wait any longer (6 races) about deciding if he wants to continue. The last race and the preseason was enough to convince him that he wants to continue racing.

Yep, he was less than 0.3 from Marquez at the finish line (and MAYBE his M1 also went into fuel save mode - he knows best himself, if it did)... but fuel save or not, over the hill old farts can΄t be less than half a second behind Marquez after race distance.

Nah. He's going to drink beer and shoot guns with Edwards in Texas, and then open a pizza stand.
