Yes, I have been holding back on pointing out how Redding was pretty spun up about beating Hayden in that first round (when Hayden had run at reduced power) and how being the first open honda was so important.

I think Alvaro is gone from Gresini after this year. Of course I've thought that for the last two years. He can be quick but just to unreliable. Who should get that ride is anyone guess.

Here's a long range silly season idea:

Repsol signs Dani for another two years.

So that, that ride is available for little Marquez when he reaches MGP. Book is that little bro is quicker. For Repsol, the marketing bonus would be killer.

So Alex is supposed to go to a factory motogp bike without having one the moto3 title or the moto2 title? He's not wining the moto3 title this year and if he moves to moto2 next year he won't be winning the championship in his first year there.

People keep saying that "Alex is supposed to be the quicker of the two" but it's getting obvious this is not the case.

Dani had another surgery this morning, this time to his right forearm. He's supposed to be okay for the next race.

.
Christ don't use that as a reason. I mentioned that about someone last year and got flamed to hell because he had a degree and was a nice guy and was faster than me.

And the talk about Alex being faster.... I doubt it.

Wishful thinking. Not while Repsol is paying the bills. They've gotten a good taste of their two riders being locals, they're gonna be really resistant to some furriner.

As for Reading vs. Hayden:
Regardless of the current results, if I was running a team I would be a lot more interested in a promising rookie, than a popular rider, who is more at the end of his career than the beginning.
Not sure either deserve a satellite bike right now, but my guess is that if Marc VDS gets the production Yamaha's next year, they will hire him back when his contract is up.

I'm willing to say he hasn't realized his potential yet. He's pretty young and inexperienced to write him off completely.

Mike is right. HRC has stated in the past they would prefer not to have two spanish riders. Respol may be picking up a large portion of the tab but its still HRC. They have two spanish riders now because they are faster than any other candidates. I bet HRC is frothing at the chance to sign Miller if he pans out even though he is doing their Moto3 effort no favor. And really with having MM they've pretty much reach Spanish advertising saturation.

Maybe. Redding's contract is for two years and with HRC, directly, though.

Hayden's marketability is undeniable.

Marc VDS has stated that Tito is their man, though Dorna doesn't really want even more Spaniards at the moment in Moto GP.

Marc VDS's biggest problem is securig a grid slot. But at least one team is currently unable to fill both of its spots.

I agree that HRC doesn't want two Spanish riders, that has been pointed out by multiple sources.

But their race program is a big one, and Repsol's money is a good chunk of their budget. Big money MotoGP sponsors are hard to come by, just ask Yamaha. That's why I look at the money (always follow the money), and Miller doesn't bring it. Simple as that. Yeah, he's fast enough. But as we've seen, fast ain't enough.

Miller? I recall Romano Fenati had a win at the start of 2012 and then spent '13 in HondaHell, he's back and he's still younger than Miller.
A rider who turns 20 while racing Moto3 is unlikely to ever make it to MotoGP.

What about Stoner? Nakamoto ate him up and what was he bringing besides talent?
