At the post-season Valencia test (in '13 and years previous) other riders spoke of riding around with no electronic help to get a feel for the bike, then slowly dialing in the electronics as needed.

My understanding is that they made him a firm offer, with Factory support but not Rossi/Lorenzo levels of support. Similar to his 2013 ride but for more $$$.

Ducati's offer was for exponentially more.

I think Cal also wanted a guarantee to move up to Rossi's seat in 2015 from Yamaha.

So, Scott Redding, summarize your first day on the RCV1000...

Right, read that.

On the UP side here is that they improved the chassis and got 46 more braking it appears, but they didn't harm 99's style in high corner speeds. Engine management is causing his current issues, so that's 'good' to see is not sure to the improvement in one area.

As for Cal, he knew that with Yamaha courting Smith and Esp. There was no factory bike in his future. With Ducati he had the chance to win if they get the bike right. Which doesn't look like it's gonna be this year.

Smith? When I think of him, the word 'meh' comes to mind. His manager has to be one talented mother to get him into this gig. He's good, but his teammates are the ones we think of being able to podium. I can't recall anybody ever picking him to place. I think somebody picked him once for a top 4, he went ninth, again.

It is entirely too soon to speculate, of course, but a few battles at the sharp end between Rossi and Marquez would be very entertaining indeed.

On the other hand, I΄m not gonna hold my breath that this will happen...

Yes he will. He knows if he doesn't his career is over. And it's more comfortable with our cocks out thanks.

While my cock is resplendent and endowed with a mighty red head, I don't see how he has anything to say about the desire to see an entertaining motorcycle race.

Being able to plant the front on the brakes the way you want is a big thing when it's your strength. And with that ability comes the opportunity to race, not just lap around.

For a couple of seasons I had a bike that was awesome at that. It meant podiums instead of mid pack for me.

If there's one thing 46 is good at, is racing. 93 loves it too. 26 and 99 prefer gapping the front, then managing the lead.

This could be good.

Tribω dei chihuahua is the name of the group of some of the closest friends of Rossi. Basically they were the people behind all the "shenanigans" Rossi displayed after winning races a few years ago... Obviously Uccio and Vale are part of it as well. Sort of Sinatra's "Rat pack"...

I would almost feel bad for Cal, other than the whole millionaire thing.

I was going to ask the same question but, at the end of the day, like the CRT class, who outside of the teams and riders pays attention? 99% or more of anyone looking at the race results will only see a finishing place/rider/manufacture.
