Looking at the new, revised schedule-

I do understand that Dorna is trying to spread the races out from a western Europe concentration, but this has to result in cost escalation for all the teams. Especially for moto2 and 3 since the deleted Laguna weekend was not a cost for them.

As the schedule stands, there are 2 Atlantic "fly-aways" if you combine the Texas/Argentina weekends (does the equipment go home between those like the riders do? Then make the current schedule 3 Atlantic crossings). A Brazil race would have made that 3 (or 4). Was that an additional factor or was it truly just a track condition factor.

Dorna seems to be going forward with its cost containment strategies- ECU, software, engine limits, etc. Is this to balance out some of the increase in globetrotting?

Not so many years ago, can΄t remember, when exactly, MotoGP-circus went from Europe to Usa to Europe to Usa to Europe, to get 5 races run.

I am pretty sure Dorna subsidizes the logistics. It is their show, after all.

Dorna probably don't have a tree, where money grows ?...and I doubt flying 3 freight 747's across the ocean & back is very cheap, nevermind doing that twice within a few weeks! But I'm sure they had their reasons to do it this way.

They have million$ of them.

******

Food for thought: if a MotoGP.com video pass were to cost $100 Euros for a season and were to have 1 million subscribers...

That is the potential of the video pass, alone.

I would find it hard to imagine they have a million subscribers. Closer to 50,000 to 100,000? Just throwing numbers out there, but 1,000,000 is a huge subscription.

OK- once we start wondering about this stupid stuff....it's time to START RACING PLEASE!!!! At least testing tomorrow, right?

I am simply stating the potential one one small aspect. Even 100,000 subscribers is 10M Euro.

Pretty good interview with JB. Sounds like a man ready for retirement!

Interesting his statement about not being interested in racing if he couldn't be winning. Sure racers will say the same thing but would they really stop if they couldn't win?

I read somewhere that Nicky sprung for a Power Commander 5 out of his own pocket to stick on the new Honda. Should see some big time drops in this next test.
