Nobody who matters gives a fuck about the winner of any of the sub classes in motogp. The people that matter aren't the people posting here. The people that matter are the one's advertiser's want to reach with their ads claiming 2014 motogp riders/constructors championship. For the people posting here that shit doesn't influence their purchase.

Nobody will pay attention to "winner 2014 motogp OPEN class" so why fuss about it? I understand the importance to the people in the sport but none of it matters.

Need a Wendy Whiner photoshop over the HRC principals.

A t-shirt:

'How to neuter a Carmine?'

with the HRC logo.

Hey, what's the problem, there are almost 3 weeks before the first race. Plenty of time for more major rules changes still left!

Sad day. Just when it was beginning to look like others might be able to compete. . . MotoGP is becoming a laughing stock.

Whatever happened to straight up competition, like the 70's, 80's and 90's

Oh yeah, the almighty Euro/Pound/Dollar.

This really is starting to look like NASCRAP.

What's next? The "Bike of Tomorrow"??

Crikey. That will keep the blogosphere warmed up 'til Qatar anyway!

In the end, it may not matter so much. Seems the sly permutations of Open by Ducati and Yamaha succeeded even beyond Ezpleta's expectations. Factory 2 might be a bit more stable for the next 2 years. It would not be cool for the sport if MGP turned in to the Ducati Cup at half season. OK, I really can't see Cal in front of Marquez every race, but you get the idea. Factory 2 still gives Ducati plenty of room to develop, until such time as they can consistently podium.

And the more rules there are, the more lines there are between them. Ducati could take two thirds and a second and still not be Factory 2 ... they will find fresh new ways to extend their game.

Grand Prix prototype motorcycle racing started a fatal toilet flush when the same holding company also owned World Superbike and MotoGP. How many more rule changes to "level" the field *during* the season? I'll guess at least one after Qatar.

You must follow the script.
You can race, but you can't win, OK?
Now go out there and lose this one for the Gippersan.

What a farce!
