As I understand it the motors are smaller and turbocharged this year. So....I don't know what your hearing

1.6 litre V6 turbos. There is plenty of moaning about the lack of high revving noise. I kinda like the sound. The turbos pack plenty of boost, apparently.

Down to turboV6's with 'lectric backup. Lots of whining about that on the forums.

Went down to Melb. for a look and listen yesterday. Is this the future of MotoGP?
All engines to be the exact same configuration, specifications, sounding identical? (Apart from the Red cars. Must be a special rule...) It was all a little boring actually...UNTIL!! It started to rain!
Drivers searching for traction with their right foot and steering wheel. On the fine line between a fast time and a crash, with zero electronic intervention.
Human Traction Control. Now there's a thought.......

So, has Monday come and gone without the promised resolution of the Open/Factory 2 issue?

Agreement was reached late on Monday afternoon, and the details passed to the FIM to publish a press release. The FIM are notoriously slow at publishing press releases (I remember one particularly important change which was agreed on a Saturday, but the press release did not go out until the following Monday), and so the details won't be available until Tuesday.

What I was told was the original proposal was agreed, with a few minor changes. I wasn't told exactly what the changes were. Another source described it as 'a significant win' for Dorna and IRTA.

You can get a ride in MGP without ever winning a race?

I believe they mean in the MotoGp series, 125, Moto3, 250, Moto2, MotoGP. So yeah a lot of guys have never won, Crutchlow being one.
