AHG Husky importer

seems like AHG won the tussel of who is going to be the new Husky importer and Feeny Group lost out

wonder what that means for the existing Husky dealers ?

all the AHG dealers pissed at losing Husaberg may get the nod for the new Husky's ?

That would seem somewhat the obvious choice given that AHG is KTM Sportmotorcycles, and they come from the same parent company. It wouldn't make sense splitting the distributorship internally.

As you say though, this leaves the existing KTM / Husa dealers as now being perhaps KTM / Husky dealers, but what about the old Husky dealers? Do they evaporate, or do they continue to exist and perhaps KTM dealers just revert to KTM only instead. Time will tell. You would be pissed if you were a sole dealer like Full Throttle Motorcycles in Slacks Creek, Brisbane. If they lose Husky, they have no business. Weird.

It says in the link that they will distribute Husky's through the existing Husky dealerships.

Bit of a blow for Feeney as he worked pretty hard to establish Husky's again. But that's the game of distributing. One day you have it, next day a competitor's got it. Seen it happen a lot in different fields of distributing.

Husaberg Rallye Racing Australia's last event was the 2012 Safari last year

the team was wound up after that and have been gradually selling gear off since.

A little birdee told me that KTM wanted the PFG to take a much larger # of bikes than they were willing given the cost etc. This was a sticking point as the KTM gang are able to import much larger qtys.
Hence its back to KTM

I want a 2014 Husky TE300 2 Stroker and that's how I feel. A 250 might work.

Dunno when they will surface here in the States (CA)

Talking to a friend last night he mentioned that he's getting a 2014 model husky 300cc 2stroke for 8k brand new. From the factory that used to make them before KTM took them over. What ever was left will be put together and sold through current husky dealers, limited stock of course

Think you might be talking about a TE 310... the New Husky TE 300 is the Husaberg TE 300 and might as well be the KTM 300. If they sell the new Husky 300 for 8k no one would buy the Kato 300 as they are the same bike with marginal differences.

Already seen parts boxes with the three brands stamped on them. So much for Pierer buying it 'himself'.
