The Plan

Hello fellow riders.
The unfinished story of my plan...

It began in 2007 in Phuket Thailand, when i first bought a bike.
http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/mod...ki_gsx1200.htm

A Suzuki GSX 1200 which i modified somewhat to this stage...

The Plan

During the modification of my bike; now called fat mama and sometimes referred to simply as "mama", the idea came up to ride from Phuket Thailand to Zurich, Switzerland.

The specs and modifications done so far:
-complete gsxr 1000 front end; fork, trees, brakes, wheels, mudguard
-flat streetbar
-acewell speedo
-complete holeshot comp header and short xorst
-polished wheels and engine covers
-shortened rear fender
-kellermann led indicators
-seat covered in nice alcantara
-led tail light

But as with so many plans, i just never found the time and the money to do it.

nice looking bike. Are you going to do this RR from the road, or is this being posted after the fact?

Why Zurick?

Yo Mrbreeze; thanks for the comment.

This is a bit of a different ride report; i am writing as i am planing the trip.
Also my ride kind of started when i bought the bike. She tried to kill me several times, i neglected her, but somehow we both pulled thru.
Its a mind trip with a physical ride as icing on top.

The target is to hit the road mid 2016. If the mods consider this thread not to be a proper ride report, please feel free to move it.

There are more modifications to be done to the bike, the route must be outlaid; any help and hints appreciated; money be made and my current work contract to be fulfilled.

Zurich because thats where i come from. And Phuket because thats mama's home.

So next with the story:

As i told before, some modifications were done and i took her around Thailand, but stupidly there are no pictures anymore.
I rode her until we both looked about like that. We hit rock bottom.

By the time of the last picture she lost the airbox, the battery moved into the tail and a couple rust sprinkles were picked up along the way.
Four Mikuni bst 40mm from a gsxr 1100 and some cheap Thai steel filter mesh things replaced the original Keihin 34's. That helps for a nice roar and even nicer induction noize.
Some proper Thai driving resulted in the slight ding in the tank and a bent handlebar... handlebar was replaced, but i never gotten around removing the tank for repair because that would have me left without any sort of transport.

After securing a halfway decent job as chef in a serviced apartment resort of a golf court in Bangkok, i found what i needed:

...another GSX 1200...

After bringing the silver one down to Phuket; new job onboard a superyacht based in Phuket; getting a new hide out in form of a crappy 3 room apartment with loads of illegal Burmese construction workers and some low down shady Thai society as neighbours, the second stage of mama's beauty OP started...

...who needs a living room...
...the guy lurking in the back is called Mex; my bike mentor and the undisputed chief of our small gang. We call ourselves either "Schnitzel Racing" or "Lucky Engineering"...

...silver one stripped and stored in the third room of the apartment...

As said before; me and mama were pretty down prior to resurrection.
Living room is screwed up, third room becomes bike parts storage.

And thats was my hole:

And my sh...hole...

Cant get lower, so hope was all up. Only one way to go; forward.
