We've got a lot in common, rags. My foot slipped off the right foot ped. That's sign language for not replacing my oil cap. I wrapped some duck tape around from styrofoam and jammed it in the hole somewhere in Lousiana, I think. Yeah, I got that stupid gene.

Great story, thanks for sharing.

I rode Baja in Sept and going back March 1. Can't wait, pure frontier country.

Thanks for the feedback, Purch23. March will come in it's own time. I'm putting on a group ride in late April. A feller can't get too much of Baja, I don't think.

Enjoyed your story Ratman----us old guys got to keep going and try to stay above the grass

loved your plane story---that was a good one.

I went to Baja earlier this year (January)---but my buddy got injured----we got to finish that ride now that he is all healed up.

Thanks !!

If your bike weighs more than 400lbs. You might not make it.

Thanks, Mark. Yeah, Baja is alway good. I had to look up your Baja report to see what the matter was with DW. I've taken a rock under the arm/ribs before. It was a long time before I could breath right.

I like your reasoning with riding small bikes....it's just so much easier. I'll be looking for you next ride report on Baja.

Speaking of going to TJ, just south of the Rosarita toll booth there is a side road toll booth to a road that goes northeast and a sign that said Tijuana. Does anyone know where that goes???
I think you're talking about the BLVD 2000. It goes around the south side of TJ and back up the east side to the toll road to tecate. There's a furniture store turnoff that will take you back to Pancho's Place. It's a hot spot on the weekends and all the locals know about it. I lived in TJ for 10 years.

Here's a couple of pics from 3 poles while waiting for our first quad to come through:

If you plan on once, plan on every year after. It's a great show.

That's gotta be the road. Never saw it before....

I see you had the same sunrise that I had....figure since we spent the night only 15 miles or so apart. That may have been my all time best.

Are you guys talking about the road that starts by Fox Studios and ends up like said out by the toll road to Tecate? I've taken it once, but by the time you wind around to Otay Mesa its not really any faster, and its easy to get off track.

At popotla yes. Depending on the time of day and events. A soccer game means you can't take 20 de Noviembre. Rush hour means no 5 y 10. Coming back north from big events means the 1 to blvd intl will be nuts. Even when I lived in libertad p/alta I would go over to otay to cross in the mornings.
