When are you planning on heading over to the ride? Riding or towing your bike?

I'd never consider driving that far on my KTM620 - that sucker would shake the fillings out of your teeth. But, I've now got an '07 XR650 that will be much nicer for the road sections.

Anyway, it looks like it'll be me, Varmit, and Kenny(not on ADV) heading over there from Newton. I haven't talked to them about how they're getting there. The three of us did the Bucky last October and we put all our bike's in Varmit's trailer. Not sure if we're doing that again or riding - but it'd be cool to have a group ride from here to there Friday afternoon.

Sounds fun. We've been mapping the east side of the state and have a pretty good route laid out from I-80 north to Allamakee county. Maybe ride that track up?

Sounds good to me. The less 4 lanes, the better.

I'll find out what the other guys have planned.

I've only seen a few pictures of the campsite - but it seems pretty sparse when it comes to trees. I'd like to camp in my hammock - it packs up on the bike much easier. But, if there's no trees - I'll have to bring a tent.

Your brother's bachelor party? Who was in charge of scheduling that? You need to slap the best man!

That would be my other brother......who owns a dual sport......who should be on this ride too! I think the Waterloo OHV park will deliver the slap to him in 2 weeks!

Too bad the bachelor doesn't ride, we could just work the ride right into the weekend.

Nuff said. I'll slap him when I see him in April. Though, I'll wait til after I drink his beer and sleep at his house!

OK, vacation request for Friday is in. Mark me down as "IN"!

Do we contact the camp owner to make a reservation?

Taco,

I was looking over my calendar and the plan I proposed on Saturday doesn't look like it will work. I'm leaving for Key West the Wednesday after the ride.
I still want to fit that other ride in sometime this year, maybe earlier in May or September??
