Each bike is worthy of a dedicated section

Why doesn't a proponent of this make an actual poll?

Easy. A moderator clicks the "add a poll" button and enters the following:

Title: Should we split the forum because of the new 1190?

Options:

Yes-Because I am stubborn and do not not like change
No-Because I am a 1190 owner who is smarter, better looking and can whoop any of the guys on the old antique Adventures

Continuing unscientifically, based upon "number of owners poll" I did in years past, probably another 500 that don't care enough to post

I agree there are a lot of repetitive 1190 threads, just like there were (and continue to be, though fewer than when they were new) a lot of silly 9x0 threads. I don't care either way, but find the strong feelings (mostly from the older bike owners) over this pretty telling.

Anyone can do a poll. Click "New Thread" and down near the bottom it asks if you want to make the thread a pole.

If you want it as a Stickie,,,, then you need to start a pole to get a moderator to to stickie it.

Personally I don't really care if it's split or not. I find some of the posts hilarious.... "OMG,,, my tire is 2 psi low,,, what is the correct procedure for topping off the pressure?"

Why would anyone install a knobbie on a street bike?!

When I first got my 950 I was just a n00b that knew very little about the 950/990. At first all the interchange between the two confused me a bit but with some time and help from some veterans here I got it figured out and all was right with the world. I don't get to contribute much because I still don't know enough to give much advice.

With that being said...

I haven't been here much lately because it has turned into a 1190 forum and it has become a organizational mess.

I really don't care what they have in the other forums on here and I don't see why what is on one brand/style of bike forum on here has any bearing on what happens here. If it's about Mod time and ease, I'm sure someone would be voted in/volunteer to mod. If not I'll do it to make the split happen if that's the hold up. I don't really want it but I will do it to make this happen if that's the problem.

Is like to see the split. I'm not interested in 1190 info and since none of it carries over to the 950/990 the choice would be welcome.

Nothing against the 1190. But I don't go on the GS forums either because there is nothing there that interests me. It's nothing to get all butthurt about.
