Also ordered a set of TKC80 tires, fender extender, and KTM bash plate. The TKC80 rear tire I ordered is a 180 55 17 instead of the OEM size mainly because the 180 is a belted bias tire vs the 170 is a bias ply.
Standard screen is bigger than the R, and touring is bigger than standard.

I'm looking into others. Puig maybe. Its not great looking, but it looks like it would work great for me.

Then the fun started, drifting and sliding!!!!

Still alive, don't know how that happened!!!!

Love it, come around a corner in second and pin it. The back tire howls and drifts slightly out while the front picks up! Love it!

Does sport mode, with traction control on, limit wheelies? My front comes up pretty easily in sport...but I haven't ridden one out for more than a second or two.

BTW, I recommend not pulling too much of a second gear wheelie while on an on ramp, with a 30mph cross wind. Oops! LOL!!!!

Mine won't come off the ground more than a few inches in sport mode, maybe I'm not trying hard enough?

Maybe if your dealer is a reliable person, you can ask him to change your bike's software to Euro; I guess that it's a region difference.

Mine won't either. Turn T/C off and the bike becomes instant moving violation.

Weird. I have pulled several wheelies, and I have not ever turned the T/C off.... :eek The front only comes up in sport mode though. Maybe with my abrupt throttle, it comes up faster than the T/C can stop it.

Another test shootout

My MAY ''Cycle World '' magazine arrived today. For those about to purchase and for those who like confirmation of their purchase choice, there is a ''shoot out between the KTM, the BMW and the Suzuki. To quote from the magazine ''Whether off-road or on, it [ KTM ] was the most confidence inspiring and the most fun of the trio ''....say no more, say no more , best to read the magazine....good read .

The bike must be in the on position but not running. Select the settings tab and scroll down, on my bike it was almost at the bottom of the choices.

I set mine to DRL "on" and the LED's are the only thing on during the day (verified on my way to work this morning

I know you guys must think I'm an idiot, but it's just not there, engine running, engine stopped, whatever. I've tried every combination. Maybe I'll post a video! I'll just ask the dealer when I'm there this weekend.

Keep scrolling down the settings menu. It is just after the shift light settings. And mine works while running.

New Parabellum Wind Screen

Easy install and the wind is really blowing here this afternoon. All I can say is "Nice". So that's what the Akra pipe sounds like without all the wind blast noise....its nice too.

I like it

Repair Manual

I ordered a repair manual, and what arrived is a CD ROM that requires a PC. There are no pdf files on the disc. Just a bunch of executable files that my Mac won't open. The vendor who sold it to me said that this is all KTM offers.
Does anyone know of a real repair manual with pages that looks like those things they used to call books?
Alternatively, does anyone know if there is a Mac version available?
(I'd sure rather have a book on my workbench with dirty hands than a laptop.)
