Actually I believe there are internal changes to the engine, although minor. Coated piston skirts, redesigned rings ect...

120£! A bit overprized if you ask me Not that such trrivial things has stopped me from buying before.....Would like to see it in profile. All their images are very similar unfortunately.

The screen is worth every penny though. Had a good ride yesterday with it and much improved over stock.

Yes, I believeit's 39 cm. They have an even taller one at 44 cm. I am 175 cm and would not want any taller than 39 cm.

Great -- that's the same or a bit narrower than they mount on my G650GS.

By any chance do you have photos?

Do you think the "beak" actually solves a problem? Perhaps dirt or debris flying toward the pilot? I haven't had mine that long and since I don't have off-road tires yet, I don't know. Is there an increase in bike functionality or....is it to make it identifiable to people as the "NEW Adventure" and therefore perhaps make people want to sell their "old" bike and buy the new one?

Just curious what you guys think...

It's not the "new adventure" -- it's an aftermarket add-on.

I could see the beak making a difference with wind distribution for the rider and cockpit.

Has anyone installed the 1190 alarm system? Please PM me. WTH is the reed connector "switch"? The installation page shows there are two connectors with the "installation kit". Mine only has the mounting bracket, some screws and one 4" wire with a connector on one end. Where does it plug into?

I've tried searching the various 1190 forums and came up with nada. Well, I don't get any useful results when searching. Most frequently I get a blank white screen as search "results". Sigh.

Don't get me wrong though, I love spending HOURS reading these forums, but occasionally I must do something more productive with my time, like getting this reed switch thingy figured out.

Any help is appreciated.
Cheers.
