WSBK: Midnight at the Oasis (season-ending spoilers)

Last race of the season, 50 points in play, Sykes leads Quintoli by 12 points. Night race in the sandbox, 1st time in SBK. Guintoli has significantly more Qatar experience, including one night race in MotoGP. The last time WSBK came to the desert in 2009, Ben Spies overcame a 10 point deficit to take the world title. Marco Melandri has 3rd place in the championship to worry about so team orders will probably be as effective as they were at Magny Cours.

1st Superbike race is at 11:00 AM Eastern, with WSS and race 2 immediately thereafter.

What's it been? A month since the last race?
Sykes for the win, but lets make it a fairing banging knife fight in a darkened biker bar. Dry race I expect.

But, one never knows for sure.

From the clock over at SBK just under three days to the start.

If the threads get started late, the natives get restless.

Last race for Rea on the Honda. I doubt he'll mail it in.

What has happened to P.J. Jacobsen so far this weekend? No speed at all.

EBR finally made Superpole. Good for Geoff.

Interesting article about EBR's future in WSBK from a German site:
