Small world.

I can see my knee now and can start bending. Cool scars all over the place.
Cleared for driving and mild weight bearing. Just imagine if this happened in the 3rd world...

So can't wait that we're coming in on Wednesday. Apparently Stoke's "Thider" needs to "settle", or "rest" or whatever. I'll be next door to Cheryl's diner and walking distance to the Kernville brewery so I'm set while Stoke tends to his anti "bitch tits" concoction.

I can't speak for Thursday as it's SUPER SECRET so I can't tell you about that. In the meantime we'll be wandering/stumbling around town aimlessly asking locals what the secret is.

So here's the thing: I've had a few drinks at my office currently. Got my brother who is visiting SD from MN (can you blame him?!) to drive me. Shooby doesn't know what he's walking into, but he will be converted to the wonders of cider in Kernville, at least as a warmup.

Not me, my license plate is Yeti and it's a Cali plate. I was in La Jolla today though.

(Btw, where is that in LJ? Doesn't look familiar )

Well I survived DVDaze (only a few small get offs) and now can look forward to this! The boss needs the break as well, and nothing spells relaxation like a bunch of drunk FFs at a campground.

Just have some maintenance to the camper (blew a tire on the way home from Death Valley, and need to check the brakes and bearings), a couple minor fixes to the KTM (shattered mirror, tires- of course, and still need to sort out a dribble of fuel), and then figure out how I'm getting all the dogs and family packed up and there!

I talked with my buddy who is one of the owners of Julian Hard Cider. He's giving me a mixed case to bring up with me. I tried the Black and Blue yesterday, and that's good stuff!

Birdrock, my office is located across the street on the west side from the old BMW car repair/dealership place on La Jolla Blvd (that has a few classic beemer bikes as well).

Ah, I wondered after looking more closely on my phone. I grew up surfing BR, Tourmaline and Wind n' Sea. I hate those stupid traffic circles they put in on the Boulevard although they do make sense.

Good spots for good surf for sure. I've surfed Bird a few times over the years, but just love Black's and Scripps when it's on, or the Cliffs if I have time. I have freedived/spearfished here though and it's pretty awesome for a shore dive.

Those awful traffic circles were set up wrong, they have it as "yield to everyone all the time" and it should be yield to everyone on your left (i.e., if someone's in the circle). My source is I lived and drove/rode in Australia for a couple years and they're all about the traffic circles-they work if set up right.

We used to hear crashes a couple times a week while working here, but fewer now as people got used to them. Although many mornings I have gone to work and seen the damage from drunk drivers (tons in LJ all the time) plowing straight through/over them, or not being able to handle the sudden turn at speed and flying off the road at various angles. So far, I have to say my favorite was the drunk lady, at about 3pm, who couldn't negotiate a circle and rammed a lightpost at full speed. Tore a front wheel right off her vehicle, but that didn't stop her from trying to back out and make an escape
