John knew I placed my order hoping I'd have sufficient time to test this gear before an important race this past weekend. As the date approached he called to give me updates. This particular race has come and gone but I'm not willing to cancel my order, this kind of customer support will always earn my business.

When it comes to rider protection my standards are high, I expect this gear to exceed my expectations. John created his original suit because other products didn't meet his needs, improvements have been made to help protect the rest of us. Thank you!

Jim

Are these shipping yet, anybody receiving orders? I had sent an email to John asking for status but haven't heard anything back. I ordered on Jan 01 so I'm probably at the tail end of the order queue.
I'm in no rush and not complaining, just was wondering about estimated ship dates for orders.
edit: nevermind, finally got to reading the last few pages. thanks!

Just gotta laugh! or cry!

Well, I should charge some soft of entertainment fee or educational fee. You just can't make this stuff up..

The good news, our order is in transit, not exactly sure where at the moment, looking to forward my paperwork to my Customs Broker and he'll keep me updated. Orders will drop on door-steps within 1-2 weeks. I'll do what I can to get them shipped quickly but there's more to this than just throwing them in a box and sending them on their way. All orders received by the end of the month is my goal, excluding International destinations or the most recent orders..

Now here is the entertainment. I give these details so people have an insight to some of the nonsense I've eluded to over the years.

My new armor supplier initially had an issue with my small orders. I usually place 50 to 100 pieces at a time, because past manufacturing efforts could not be trusted with larger quantities. Limiting exposure is how I look at it.

This supplier said 100 piece minimum orders would be acceptable. The order on it's way is 100 pieces. I requested that we start our next 100 piece order, his reply was in regard to cost and total pieces. He now wants a 50% increase in cost per piece but in addition, my next order needs to be 250, then 500 pieces minimum. That's 7-8 x the original order amount that he agreed to.

Just 3 weeks ago he mentioned a cost increase of 20%, which I was willing to accept.

Obviously, I'm already in talks with new people, I'm unwilling to work with anyone with the hostage mentality or whatever this is all about. Luckily, an ADVRider acquaintance has given me a good contact and my glove guy, who is the best so far, thinks he may be able to provide me armor as well.

Anyone out there ever deal with something like this? Really, I am at a loss for words. Is someone trying to put me out of business? My ADVRider acquaintance doesn't think that's plausible but, this scenario is pretty wacked for me not to consider all possibilities. Dude knows the cost of these products and shipping. This is nothing new, so why the sudden about face?

Pretty odd if you ask me.

That's the mind boggling part, I've only had 3 orders from this guy. It's not a question of needing my orders, it's more about him saying yes, multiple times, then completely changing his tune. From the start, I made it very clear that my numbers run small intentionally, to minimize Manufacturing mistakes. He's wanting upwards of 25k, sorry, in my experience there's no way in hell I'd trust any supplier with such an investment, until they show they're capable. How late are we again with this order?

So that's like, 6 months production time for 500 pieces. I'm still laughing about it all, it's so far out in left field, that I just have no words... My ADVRider acquaintance, who is from Pakistan, said maybe it's time to go to China. He's aware of the issues I've had just getting to this point. I never thought I'd really consider it but if these next two options don't pan out, I may have no other choice...
