Got to Churchill Falls Thurs evening. Had to wait for Sunday to tour the dam. Then rode in rain to Happy Valley. Mud and marbles for 60km.
Ride mate getting new rear tire at Frenchie's. Another rider waiting for diagnosis and verdict on his F650GS. Was overheating. Glad to be on an airhead.
Will wait for fair weather and dryer roads b4 leaving for Port Ho]e Simpson.

I did the 60km gravel section outside of Churchill Falls in the rain a few weeks ago - had a blast on it as I didn't have to worry about a stray transport truck coming out of a dust cloud, unlike the blinding dust the day before on the sections from Manic 5 to Fermont. For me, a bit of rain on the gravel sections is good for the soul.

On the wet gravel, did some slippin' and slidin' in the holes. Avging a pucker moment/5k, maybe. Lol.
Weather looks acceptable to roll east in morning.
Saw North West River today. Interpretive ctr and History museum.
F650 is on truck heading west and south. Rider is out on his thumb.

Met the young guy when we hit Goose. Still looking for a ride south. We did 600 of dirt today and there a few serious picker moments. Good luck tomorrow. We're currently at Hotel North.

Made it back to VT after a long trip from Goose Bay, thanks to an awesome trucker named Norman. I'll post a ride report in the next couple of days. Now it's time to go take apart the engine and see what needs to be fixed. Hopefully not everything...

Love the dirts on the FJR. I'll be sure to sent this to my poser buddies who think their GS800 is too big to ride the Lab.

Kspenser, very glad to hear you made it home. It will make for a great story in years to come.

Cstain - the FJR handled the dirt extremely well with the TKCs. I was even more surprised how well they worked in the paved twisties.

We passed / met up with several folks while traveling the Trans Lab and I would like to hear how they made out.

Two gents from Texas on GS's that we met in Port Hope Simpson
The two folks from Quebec on the Yamaha ST & Kawi in Goose
The two air heads that helped out kspenser
The two DRZ-400s heading north on the 211 up to Manic V
The heard of D/S's sitting at the ferry terminal in Matane

This is Dave and Dave on airheads that helped Kory. Wish I had known those water pumps had a termination time. Too bad his dealer had not prepped him.
Our airheads are doing well. Better than the accessories attached. My R100GS/PD lost a pannier and recovered. Now held with a ratchet strap. Pavement in Red Bay was welcome.
Tonight in Daniel's Harbor.
Will there be an event over this weekend? Other Dave on '73 R75/5 is leaving, but I am staying another 2 weeks.

One of the two fellows from Texas. Easily finished but very foggy on final construction leg prio to Red Bay. Ferry was delayed one day due to 50 mph winds. Good camping in Gros Morne. Rain to St John. Ferry to North Sydney outrunning Hurricane Cristobal was uneventful. Sunny day around Cabot Trail. My buddy currently in PEI, I am in Pennsylavania heading to family visit inOhio and in Texas early next week. Good meeting you all. Like those TKC 80s on the FJR
