I rode six hours in the pouring rain to Ludlum last year, broke-in my new F800... met some cool folks down there. So, count me IN! (I'll pack some firewater this year, I think I owe )

(Photos do not do justice to the extreme moisture, it was really really wet!)

I saw that too,,but you ain't man enuff for me to demand that you zip off across the nation on a fly and ride of such magnitude,,and I wouldn't send you there in winter anyway,

,but the red tank cover does! match your eyes,
reno
pheenix
linchberg
I'd say,, go by your favorite color of the threee,
,or wait and save yer money for the "right" one,,,,,you could wait for a long time,,and we are here for a good time, not a long time,,
tellya what,,you smuggle me onna plane, we'll go see the 955, you test ride, if you like it, I'll ride it home for you while you undergo another routine of invasive intrusion and public humility and degradation,,,I may freeze on the way back,,but you'll have to get felt up by some fat stinky guy that sweats streams of pizza and burps and farts visible clouds of garlic laden gases,,and I don't even LIKE cold!,,
How can you say I don't love and respect you when I offer such a heartfelt extension given as a sacrificial atonement, and spurred by the desire to see you ride again soon.
Cuz ,,I wanna be there to laugh the next time you ride off inna ditch,,

truth is,, the ONLY way yer getting me onna plane is,, if I know the pilot.
the ones I know don't make me take my shoes off....

[edit]
not meaning to derail or sidetraqck the "Sacred shaved monkey camping in the rainforest with the nekkid titty girls" thread,,chip seal is a crash victim, linkweewee has no bike, ludlum is closed, packers is open, Wibby is fat, and drinks too much dark beer,I have nothing of any value to say. ,,(or have ever had!)

Bump! - As of this friday, only 11 weeks to go!

Really looking forward to this one. Talked to my bro last night and though he's had a real tough year, he still has his wee-strom and is looking forward to it as well .

Reminds me of a fellow named Augustin-Jean Fresnel.

Man could that guy could drink...tended to walk round & round in circles though!

I made a mistake coming home last year, thinking I'd go see Crater Lake on way back home. Snowed hard at 34+ degrees all over that pass, and all the way through Bend. Absolutely miserable; my Gerbings had quit way down by Ashland somewhere. Had a knot in my shoulder for weeks from the clenching cold.

The 101 route sounds waaaay better for this year.
I'll ride down/back witchyas, Squishy...

I'll likely leave here Thursday eve after work, maybe even eat dinner @ Noti Tavern again, but with OMB & missus this year (since he gave Scott & I crap for not calling him last year) and spend the night somewhere 1/2 way down. Justanothermike gave us refuge last year in Florence

Actually i was planning the trip there last year when i noticed some 'metal cereal' in my sump.
I think i will drink more in the next few weeks, in anticipation of getting my engine back from the mechanic...then my training will be in tune just incase i get the bike up & running to go!
Let the drinking begin!!

Glad I didn't go that way. I rode home with working Gerbings and rain gear and had a blast riding home....raining the whole way.

Won't make it this year. Big plans.

Are desert rats allowed? I don't know what these 'trees' or 'creeks' are that y'all are talking about, but if you'll have me, I'm in!
