I suppose I should have asked if the European breakdown cover is also extended to those countries.. doh!
Do you have to be an existing customer, ie, your EU policy is through them?

I asked them that and she said you do have to have an existing policy with them, Carol Nash.

I'd guess so... as I am an existing customer I only asked about getting the green card on my policy.

ferry

Right, time to get the ferry sorted...

Got a really good groupoffer from Anek Lines, so we'll go for it.

Venice, Saturday May 24th
Groep Checkin 10:00h
Departure 12:00h
Arrival Igoumenitsa Sunday 15:00h

Here's the discountprices per accommodation type, an additional 30,- Euro's will be charged per motorbike.

What I need from everybody is:
Surname , Last name , nationality, sexe , age ,
Vehicles : plate numbers and the type

Send me an email on: roos@allroadmaniacs.nl
*With all requested personal details
*Your preferred accommodationtype
*And if you want to share this type with a certain person (with their approval ;-) ).

I will pass this list on to Anek Lines and they will confirm if all the requested accommodation types are still available.
If certain types are not available in the requested quantity I will ask the last persons that replied to me to make a new choice.
After that's sorted and accepted by Anek, I will request for payment ASAP on my Paypal or Bankaccount.

So please be quick so that we have plenty of choice.

Insurance

Hi all,

I'm insured with Aviva, been with them for years and had green-card extensions for various countries, no problems.

Rang them today ( Aviva ) and asked about cover for Bosnia and Albania - answer was a straight NO! Will not issue Green Card cover for these 2 countries.

Rang Carole Nash for a quote and was told policy for 6+ bikes not a problem, green card cover for Bosnia and Albania (All Europe in fact including Turkey and Iran!) also not a problem. For 90 days, on any bike on the policy. Cover with Aegis.

Waiting for the guy to call back but I feel I will be switching insurers to C.N. ........

The "can do" attitude is a refreshing change!

Cheers, Rick

Good news indeed Rick--I had got as far as confirming that AGEAS would do the green card bit, but I'm currently with AVIVA,I think, but through Carole Nash. I think I will switch my multibike to them (AGEAS) before the trip also--basically I don't think that there is much of an option out there anyway.

Do us UK'ers need an International Driving Permit as well as both parts of our photcard driving licence as the sites that I have looked at seem to suggest that it is recommended.

Doesn't seem too hard to get its just whether its worth the effort.

Looks like I ma going to need additional luggage for all of the phrase books required.
