I'd go ahead and get the grip heaters anyway.

How much are you guys paying for your new 990's? The sticker on this one is $14,8K. I will admit, that does seen like a lot.

I looked at one at Max Motorsports in Pelham, Al a couple of months ago. It was around $13,990. You could probably get it for less.

A brand new 2013 was under $14k? Well I guess they are about a year old.

In Colorado you're hard pressed to find one period. In June I paid $13,700 for a used 2013 with 530 miles on it from a guy who turned down plenty of fly and ride offers. He had paid MSRP of $14,900 in mid-May.

No one in my state had them. I got a local dealer to source one out of state. Called them today and they said it should be here Monday if it gets on the truck today. Price before shipping, tax, title, etc, was below $13,800. I'm pretty happy with that. Heck, I'm pretty happy to find a new one this late in the year.

This will be my first Adventure bike. I've been drooling for more than 3 years, researching, waiting, deciding what I want. That day is finally here.

Go Baja!

14,100 OTD. MO does tax and license fees separately, another 1000 for that. I love mine! 4750 miles since mid August, all's good. I get the wobble at about 85 (do a search) but it's purely a function of the 908s. Pirelli MT90's and it's gone (to 111, the most I've seen thus far), and definitely spring for the heated grips. And gloves if it's under 30 degrees. Gerbings. Mmmm.

Expect dive under braking. SPS is in my future I believe. Other early mods? Relocate, and Doubletakes. Throttle cam? 400 on mine. Sweet!

I bought my 2013 4 months ago and cannot honestly remember what I paid for it.

However, I really don't care. The bike is pretty damn awesome and well worth the price of admission.

Saw a 990 Baja Today...

14,800, 8 months and 8000 miles ago. Best money I ever spent.

If we can get some decent weather this week and I can shake this chest cold I'll see if I can get a test ride. They have an 1190 Adventure there as well but my eye was really drawn to the 990 Baja.

If you get it, I've got some bags for sale like Wheeler23 and I'm in Hoover about 7 miles from Max Motorsports.
