You gotta get the bear when they're on the berries. They taste like shit when they're eatin bugs, grubs and salad.

LittlePossum - had Emu once at a restaurant was really lean, but was very good. Of course it was covered in some yummy sauce, so not much experience. Would order it again though.

You two should be in Central Oregon then.

Oh yeah, AJ's right! Simple solution - the Wibster's birfday celebration can be celebrated on the Crooked River!! Combine two parties into one spot; twice the fun, half the distance.

I had porcupine once, my cousin killed it in a private park at Liberty Lake, the owners of the park called the cops on him cause they considered it "their pet".
The cop asked my cousin (who was a local Firefighter) what he did with the porcupine "it's boiling in that pot right there on my coleman" cop looked at it, grinned and went and talked to the owners of the park..........we left the next morning

Oh, and it was pretty good, tasted like a pot roast.

I enjoy cooking up and eating all kinds of critters. Trying new dishes is fun too a few that high on my priority list are emu and kangaroo. Have you guys tried those yet?
I thought PETA stood for "People Enjoying Tasty Animals"

Oh and for squirrels, I used to eat them.......................until I found out they were high in cholesterol (if you didn't see the movie you won't get it)

I think you're right... but don't forget some folks out there might be "people enjoying tasty animals" in some form other than mastication.
Just so that there is nothing lost in translation, when speaking for myself I prefer the more specific slogan!

I like your porcupine story too.

And occasionally animals enjoy people too. Search for 'Enumclaw Horse Sex". Created quite the news story.

Myself, I believe there's a place on Earth for all of God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes.

I bet a Thompson's Gazelle would likely be pretty tasty! I've had Impala (not the Chevy), and it was ok.

Never tried a turtle - anybody got a culinary report on one of these? Box vs. Snapping? Does a turtle and a tortoise taste the same?
