Anyone near Duck or Kitty Hawk NC?

I've got a non-intensive moto related favor to ask. :)

I will be a little more specific. I need about 10 minutes of beach access near the aforementioned beaches in either July or August. Can you help?

Miles of public beaches and access around there IIRC.

Just go to the upper end at Carolla where the PAVED road ends at the Atlantic and the SAND begins .
Google "Corolla, NC" on Google Maps. Zoon in and you can see where the road ends and the beach begins.

Trouble is, the sources I've read state that those public beaches are closed to vehicular traffic during the summer months. I'm planning a coast-to coast and need to get my bike on the sand. Ideas?

Looking at your location, I'd love to see you do a South Korea ride report. I don't see a lot of them on ADV but when they come up I always find them interesting.

The access to Corolla beach will be open...be fore-warned-the sand near the area the pavement ends is always soft and deep from being churned up. It's a lot better near the water. They do close areas further south since there are more tourists (nags head, kitty hawk etc).
