optimism is productive, false hope is to be discouraged

I'm a neurosurgeon, I agree with Gary's interpretation. I don't think anyone has given up and nobody can predict the future, but this is not good news.

I hope Gary is wrong, but he seems to know what he's taking about.

Yeah. Nothing much has changed, other than where they're putting his hospital bed.

There is talk on Gary's blog that if MSC stayed in France passed 29th June (next week being 6 months) that his tax status would change (tax in Switzerland being far far lower)....Surely this isn't simply a money motivated move!!!

I doubt he knew he had problems for the last couple years.

I'm not a neurosurgeon, but I also lean away from the move representing any medical progress. What makes the most sense to me is the tax angle, he was moved days before he would have been in France continuously for 6 months, and been subject to that country's taxes as a 'resident'.

Probably a million or two
He's Michael Schumacher. I'm pretty sure he's a brand ambassador for MBZ

C'mon... really guys? This thread is about - as should remain about - Michael Schumachers injury, his ongoing treatment and in the utmost of optimism, his eventual rehabilitation/recovery... whatever that might prove to be.

But it is most definately NOT the place for some CS&M like conspiracy theory discusion about his wealth, income or rumours that his medical transfer is some kind of "tax break".

There is a time and a place for just about everything here in the various halls of ADV... but seriously guys, this type of discussion brings a new paparazzi tabloid level of low to this particular thread.

Michael Schumacher is a world champion, and given the severity of his present condition I'd have thought that he deserves much better... be you a fan of his, or not.

I will leave the "out of place" comments up... if only to serve as note of what is NOT acceptable... take note.

I think you're reacting a little strongly. It's just a discussion.

Unfortunately it seems unlikely that there will be much more to talk about.

Hey troy, white on white is unreadable. Try reading your post in Fresh.

As for Michael, hey, people are going to talk. There's been no trolling or hate speech. I don't see anything wrong with it.
