you can get someone to shave a bit off the seat foam and recover it - don't know where you're located but i know some very good in the UK that makes F1 seats for a living.

not sure on the 1190 but on most bikes you can drop the forks in the yokes a bit as well.

No, I sat on it at dealer with rear suspension backed off and no dice but I can touch tip toe on reg. adventure so with the roughly 1" diff in their seat heaight it seems like 2" overall should make it work.

We had our hands on the first 1190 R in the country a few months back, therefore our settings and springs have been developed. In fact we have completed a few 1190 R setup's for a customer in Australia and Europe about a month ago.
Lowering the 1190 is pretty simple, nothing out of the ordinary. We can easily help you with this.

What he said. What's amazing is that some people have no reflection of self. For instance: if you're short, you don't buy the raised model of the bike you like when there's a lower version available

Maybe he wants the R model for the 21/18 wheels and no motor-driven electrical suspension stuff? Or the arguably much better looks?
Maybe he can buy whatever the heck he wants? Ya know?

The bikes are not equipped the same, everyone has their own reasoning for buying bikes. Neither is right nor wrong.

Right, its the bike I want and I know its possible to make the changes just curious of peoples ideas of the best way to go about it. Maybe some have never seen someone modify something to suite their needs ? Try and get out more I guess ??

Back to the Topic, seems there may be a seat in the works that gets an inch lower so that alone will be half way there.

Id give James over at Renazco Racing a call. In my opinion he offers the best custom seats on the market. They are truly tailored specifically for every rider.
