It was 13-15 $ each person for bed, dinner and breakfast, if I remember correctly.

Completely missed out on the Shorbulak observatory. Just pulled some papers from the early 80s on the feasibility of the site for sub mm observations. Could have been a competitor for us. I got to find out more about the history of this place!. On my list of places to visit next year.

They are a bit "different" from the "west", but good places to sleep and rest a few hours at night.
You'll see some pictures from the inside in the pictures from the following days...

It 'a very evocative place, even for someone like me who does not know almost nothing about astrophysics.
