Good question Mike, I know some bikes can't even make 100 miles. The longest leg going over is the first and it WAS going to be 99 miles to fuel so I routed you back into a small town/big intersection before that, guessing it's around 75 now. After that, should be enough opportunity, although you may (or may not) have to go off-route a block or two if you find yourself needing it. The longest leg coming back is the last and it's about 86 miles, but again, there's an obvious place to go slightly off-route well before that.

Not going to worry about the big bikes, they're on their own, part of the adventure...

Wicked Reverse rider- Kurtz and Loose

This just in: Cliff Loose (NC) is meeting me in Cedar Key on Wednesday. We are doing local rides and photos for the day Thursday, riding the REVERSE loop and then splitting for Daytona after breakfast on Sunday.

Will be staying at the campground (was Rainbown under new owners) Thurs night and Saturday night.

Where are REVERSE riders staying in Palm Coast? I booked room w/ bed and sofa bed at Microtel. at least 4 of us can stay there. Bring and beer.

Will be at Daytona for bike week staying at Holiday RV park. Guests welcome.

Looks like I am in for the reverse ride. Will be riding the TR 650 on the big bike loop. Will be arriving late Wednesday night. Will be camping on the gulf side and staying one night in hotel on east coast. Looking forward to the ride. Will need to get a roll chart holder for the bike. Tires came in today.

Question

I like the reverse loop idea as well simply because i live on the West coast. Any other Wankers thinking about doing the reverse loop? Also thinking of doing first half of reverse loop only and staying in Daytona Friday night to catch the Supercross on Sat. night. Anybody else up for that idea?

Ya. Lots of reasons for Reverse Loop: (A) Thursday and Saturday camp = $10/night vs Daytona rates. (B) Start point is 200 miles closer to where I am coming from (C) Am free on Sunday to head to Main Street and photo the crazies. (D) Arriving Wed to photo dawn over the lagoons at sunrise around Cedar Key. Thursday will be relax/explore/prep/drink day. E) Saturday arrive party using Loose's truck... HE can be designated driver.

Reminder: Space avail at Palm Coast Microtel Friday night. $+Brew

Cool. Not sure if I'm riding my WR with a pipette for a tank or my 600 with the 5.9 tank. Guess depends on how bad I want to hurt myself :)

It was fun...especially the single track. Highly recommended

With that said, can't wait for this; 29 days, 10+ hours!

Dude I'll ride with ya. I got that WR250R with it's little tiny tank. We can find some gas. Oh wait nevermind... you might leave me in the dust because I am on that WR250R.

5.9 gal = 48# I would come up with a strategy to start out with 1/2 tank.

Jeff
650 Sertao = 3.7 gal
Known to run on fumes.
