Ryobi is NOT a 'redneck'... He's just a 'good ol' boy'..... with a red neck!

This is off course when ASO didn't screw up with their scaling too much as this is taken from the drawing.
Does that mean we will get 5 timings over the 2 or so hours with the first after around 20 mins?

Of course, and every timing will show up without delay and make perfect sense. Like every year on SS1.

Great, we normally have a few hickups - this will nearly be like live tracking

5 updates including the ASS over 180km - looks like the ASO are setting themselves up for an early fall

According to Marcel Vermeij on Twitter, Chicherit is also stopped with his assistance truck, at km86 of the liaison.

Morning all ! Looking forward to the F5 frenzy once again

The race this year will be something else - whilst I have to be honest and say I am firmly in the orange camp, the Yamaha and Honda challenge cannot be ignored and it can only add to the global interest and excitement as the race develops.

But let's not forget the riders in the lower positions - the names we may not recognise but who have spent years planning, fundraising and struggling to just get to the start line and to achieve the Dakar dream. The Malle Moto 'DIY' riders with no team backup on the event. The ones arriving at the bivouac in darkness and getting a few hours sleep before setting off battered and tired before dawn the next day.

In my book these are the true heroes of the Dakar

Wishing all the competitors and teams out in South America a safe ride !

BJ's turn now...Shakedown?

En nu ook BJ Baldwin stil in de berm, op km 100, zonder assistentie. Shakedown testje op de verbinding voor de Amerikanen zo lijkt het!
