That's quite the "adult" response. You really love those Smilies don't you?

I knew when I saw the word "Harley" in the title that this thread wouldn't disappoint. Keep up the good work, chaps!

The words "no disrespect" in the title were a nice add on...

I always knew it would be good when Christopher started a sentence with "No disrespect, Tone, but..."

ha, I used to have HD's, a couple Electra Glides. I hadn't ridden in over 25 years so of course I thought I needed a Harley. I bout a used Yamaha 850 and then right to the HD. I rarely wore a jacket unless it was cold, until a friend of mine who is a long time HD rider convinced me to wear a mesh jacket. I did ride from WNY (near Buffalo) to Ft Campbell, KY in a tee shirt and no helmet (after I hit PA) all the way to TN. That was pretty dumb and wore a helmet and jacket on the way back. I sold the last HD after I put about 35K miles on it and went to sport touring bikes and now I hardly ever go out w/o gear. It must be my age and the fact that I want to keep this old skin on this ragtag body if I go down. To each his own.

I've owned 3 Harleys, and admitted to doing the no gear pirate thing mostly because I was emulating my peers. Guess that makes me a 1%er.......
who knew.......

You know guys; I originally posted this thread because I wanted to understand the many (mostly Harley) riders I see daily who don't wear any protective gear at all; well, sunglasses.

I personally wear jeans (usually not armored) a jacket with armor, both Tourmaster, one hi-viz, the other black. Here in AZ, where the morning temps are in the mid to low 40s and by noon they're in the low 70s, it's hard to dress right for comfort and protection; yet today, I saw any number of, all Harley riders, with no helmet, even one guy this afternoon with shorts on. I fully support the "Do whatever the fuck you want" idea.

I have a bit of a problem with those who put a pillion (that would be a sexy bitch) on the back, who is wearing almost nothing. Do you like/love/at least exchanging fluids with her? In my not so humble opinion, that requires that you give a shit about her safety!

This thread, as do most, has gotten into a slamming, insulting others, insulting the bikes we choose to ride fuckfest....so be it. Again, I support the "Do whatever works for you idea" I was just simply trying to understand the mind set of riding with no gear. Probably should have posted this in JoMamma!
