Not abused, dropped, etc. It wasn't safe. So I bought a Polaris snowmobile helmet to get me thru this trip safely. The motor sports dealer here is shipping my LR2 back to me in Chicago.
I'd like to keep my LR2. It is hi-viz and works well (mostly).
What do you advise?

Hi Ted,

Wow! So sorry to hear the trouble you had. I've not had anyone report a problem like this before. We'll get you taken care of. I'm sending a PM to you. Please take a look.

Thanks,
Phil

I had the front latch fail a couple of times on my FF386. The cable from the front button comes out of its guide. Both times I was able to pull out the inner chin foam to gain access to fix it. I now try to be very careful when using it. Other than that the helmet has been good so far (used maybe 15 times over 1K miles)

LS2 Helmets FT2 - Full coverage helmet - Retractable sun shield

The LS2 FT2 full face motorcycle helmet is fiberglass, DOT/ECE approved, has a retractable sun shield that has replaceable lenses, inflatable cheek pads for a great fit and fully adjustable flow through ventilation. If you like a full face style helmet, this is a great value, starting under $200.

You can see all of the available graohics at http://ls2helmets.us/_live/products/...e/82-ft2-ff396

Phil, I wear glasses. When putting on the FF386 and the visor open, does the helmet go on without disturbing my glasses. On my Shoei Neotec I could spread the helmet enough to where it would not move my glasses going on or coming off. Can you answer that, thanks

Pretty much, only real thing that bugs me as others have mentioned, you can't just crack open the face shield for a little air, even when cold I like to crack the shield, plus it fogs up very easy so I got the anti fog insert. I have had it for a year and it is holding up fine.

I also wear glasses and have no problem. I do have to spread the helmet a little but have to do the same on my shoei multitec.

Mine came with an extra foam piece for the crown, which I had to install to keep the helmet liner from hitting the top of my glasses.
