That would be the Preadator with maybe 5 paddles to help the little XR scoot along over some of the bigger dunes. They can make up any tire you want to send them, 100-100, 17 inchers are kinda rare paddle tires, and I thought it would be nice to have a row of knobbies down the middle to smooth out the ride on the hard. These are the same guys that made up the paddle tire for the touratech F800 in a bigger 17" size, think they used a tkc80

Really depends on when I get the go ahead for surgery, may try to put it off untill after the Little Dakar, but I plan on going out anyway and will be bringing the little XR with it's new little paddle and the trx for some more fun in the sand.

I didn't take any pics of our confidential training program. Rick did manage to capture some video footage of me floundering up a rocky hill.

Not pictured were my looping the bike, Rick's tumble in the trials section, and Newner's endless stalling.

Got my tire while I was out of town. Apparently "new old stock" = used.

It's usable, but I wasn't pleased to see that the edges of the paddles are clearly worn. Doesn't get like that from sitting around. It was dirty in the pic, but since it was listed as new, I figured it was just barn dust or something.

Fuck it. It was still cheaper than anywhere else I could find.

I'm out. Looks like I will be heading to Minneapolis for a wedding. In February. Planned just now. Any of you NWA pussies who aren't going are welcome to my 21-inch front sand tire. I was finally going to be able to use it. Oh well.

This is shaping up to be an expensive trip...
Just ordered a new pipe, silencer, piston, crank bearings/seals, etc.
Hope I can get the bike ready in time...
