Wow,
I had no idea Eslick was in the BSB series!
Is he in for the whole series or limited events?

He's been racing in England so long he's officially a Brit.

15 year old Jayson Uribe of Angwin, CA finished 3rd in the BSB Moto3 class. His first race on the Moto3 bike.

He almost won the British superbike series a couple years ago. Now, he's been "retired" for a year or so, but I kinda expected him to be a bit farther up.

It's hard to tell. He's riding for Ian Lougher, the recently retired Roads Racer, who has a good eye for talent. With so much down time between AMA Pro races why not get out there and race? He'll get more, and better, attention in the BSB series. Stepping stone to the world stage.

Hopper smoked his teammate in both races and beat double winner Shakey Byrne's teammate in race 1. 8th in the points table after round 1.

Not bad results, in context.

His capable teammate's results indicate the bike may need some developing.

I didn't see race 1, but race 2 was classic BSB all the way.

The Kawasakis look strong!

Your metrics are a little skewed. His teammate, Josh Waters, has never been successful at all in BSB. And Stuart Easton has been very inconsistant over the years.

I'd suggest that this track isn't a good barometer of things to come. I'm still at a loss as to why they even bother to run it...45 sec laps....Same for everyone I know, and the truly awesome fast guys have again shown their stuff, but this could be an epic year. Some of those newer guys could show their true talent.
Still possibly the most competitive, hard fought series on the planet.
