Geez I know most of you aren't, but 9x0 owners shouldn't feel compelled to post asshole comments in every 1190 thread. It comes across as snarky and self complimenting.

I mean you don't see us SE riders saying what pussy bikes 9x0 Adventures are, do you

I'm not sure to whom you are referring to , I think most of it is competitive criticism or banter to get the juicing flowing Nothing personal unless of course your feeling guilty sipping starbucks while starring at your garage candy While the rest of us talk smack back and forth on how knarly we think we are going through our mid life crisis on our over sized dirt bikes

Lol... Yea, I think you've got it. My new 1190 seems to be the natural progression of the990. I doubt it under performs the 990 in any aspect but out performs it in a few. Of course, just my opinion.

This is in the Kwazulu-Natal Midlands in September - our Spring (we have summer rainfall hence it being all dull and grey) - temps went up to about 30C/86F in the summer could easily exceed 35C/95F.

This area gets pretty rocky/hilly in some spots

Great vid!

For some reason the sound reminds me of 3 movie scenes:

1) that part in Jurassic Park where the water ripples in the glass before the T-Rex makes its appearance
2) that scene in Color Of Money where the pool player asks Tom Cruise what's in the carrying case and TC replies "Doom"
3) the Jaws theme

Did a little research of the area 11,000 feet not exactly rolling hills. Looks like you have a little bit of every kind of terrain and some great wildlife too.

Marked it on my world map favorite trails from around the world.

Didn't you sell an Adventure a couple of months ago? I'm enjoying it. No goat trails yet, just logging roads.

Pretty Impressive

Checkout Nerb1's excellent offroad video. Looks like he did this with stock tires and I think was the only one to finish.
Not sure how much offroad experience he has, but the 1190R does a fine job. Lots of water crossings, deep ruts and pretty steep tracks.

You can enjoy the full hour or skip to 30:00 and wipe the grin off your face.

lol, yep and if the weather was less crappy than the way it's been for the past three months I'd be missing it much more than I am. If it's above 30 it seems to be either raining or icy on the fun roads :-(. I'm glad you're enjoying it- there's been virtually no riding for me since you drove away with it.

Anyway, I piped in because it seems that every 1190 thread has to put up with 9x0 owner crap; so I figured I'd do some SE trash talking. All in good cabin fever fun.

added comment: I'm pretty impressed that the 1190 battery stayed good for the whole ride.

BTW-- Adventure Bike Of The Year? Honda Hornet!
