Clear Creek BLM Management Area is an old asbestos mining area (one of the old strip mines is a superfund site...). Although they will be studying the issue, currently it closes during the summer because asbestos in the air during the dry season is higher than EPA thresholds for human exposure. We were going thru on the last weekend that the county left their roads open (even though the BLM had closed the area ) and put on the masks as precaution, in case the EPA is right, and as a joke for the CC riders who are bummed about the seasonal closure. Its one of the best areas in the region.

The rain washed most of it off. Fun day.

Easy to catch a rut at the end of the day when you decide to make "one last pass"

Not credible looking yet, but this was after the first plant, and before later in the day when we got a hi=pressure gun to use at an engineers shop.

Trip to see the flowers in Namaqualand, South Africa. This is on "Matjiesfontein"

How to clean a dusty bike after a day on dirt in summer..... note the azure blue skies..... I do miss South African Off road.....

Easy parking on the Flower trip.

En-route to Naude's Neck , almost Lesotho..... A great day at that point.....

A few hours later..... maybe 10-15 drop/falls later.... Pillion never said a word to complain, tough chick.

On the Aprillia Tuareg.... cleaning up my act....

Pre-wash.....
