You Russians are tough.

Just being an Oracle of the Obvious. Great report, nice to see you actually riding on 'roads' after that crossing of the mountains by dead reckoning.

Grom, I love your vidoes , the natural sounds are perfect, the total silence at times, the sound of the wind, the sound of the bikes. AWESOME

Nothing takes away from the raw beauty of your trip. WELL DONE<

CARRY ON!

We will have a little overcoming.
We have to cross the sandbox, and what is good that it will be a very narrow isthmus.
The trail climbs through alpine meadows.

If you have a BMW X-challenge, you can always get into the ass of the world and take a picture.

Here it comes - the isthmus. Butts squeezed, steel in eyes!

Traveling over the dunes requires certain skills.
There is nothing to catch you eye. Same sand is all around.
And taking off the ridge you can easily find a 10 meters steep.

Isthmus passed. We rise on 2500.
Judging by space pads there is a HOLE ahead.

Stony asteroid type growths bristling in all directions. Grom says ‘Hi Martians!’

And it looks good in the sunset rays.
No words to describe what we saw and experienced.

In inaccessible cliffs we have prepared a capsule and left it to descendants.
We had to build a human pyramid headed by Space trooper.

Night was falling, we had to hurry, before the planned night on the lake we had to go 10 miles of mountain trails.

And here we are on the shore - height 2500m. Fresh water.
We are frazzled, we are putting our small houses, preparing hot meals.
The day was oversaturated with events, they just do not fit in us.

As someone said before, VERY ENVIOUS! We also loved watching the vids on the bigscreen. Much better than Long Way Round.

Overall which bike performed the best? I see a 300EXC in your profile. That might be my pick if it wasn't for the bad fuel mileage.

Best of all suits 650сс enduro.
It gives the maximum freedom.
You have also speed on the good road,
also you can overcome difficult passable places with big loading on the motorcycle.

Now, unfortunately, already nobody makes such motorcycles except KTM690.

Lungs on weight enduro, such as EXC, have no opportunity to transport all necessary things on a trip.
Their engines have too small resource.

After this trip, I surely can tell, that for such roads 690 it is better than 950.
Grom goes by the motorcycle much better me,
He is the good rider.
but he was tired more and often went more slowly.
