Southern California or Bust

First attempt to leave. Fri. Jan 10

After a couple of hours of figuring out how to pack the jeep with all the gear, I woke up early on Thurs. Jan 9 th to get the only spot near me to load up the trailer.
A 45 dollar ticket (love alternate side parking, especially when they don't clean the street) and some verbal altercations with queens locals I got the right spot to load the trailer.
A test pack on Thurs got it all in without an inch to spare.

Freezing rain Fri. leave on Sat.

After 3 1/2 hours of lugging gear downstairs and across the street, assembling the trailer, a ton of odd looks and questions, a dead taillight on the trailer, and fighting people not park right behind me; including one who did not see the trailer and just drove in to it I was ready to go. But no I am bottomed out and need heavier suspension. Boo. : / Time to unpack again...

A frantic search and 80 dollars for next day shipping, air suspension on Tues. Nothing like a little street side suspension work.

Very nice desert pics! I love the Mohave area.

Queens can suck it!
