I've probably been up there 5-6 times, but always in the middle of the week. Never have seen a glider.

And we wonder where they come from

I had to throw this in there, as it was shot on the way to Hyner one of the times I was up that way.

I probably rode 5 miles past that thing before I finally convinced myself to go back and take the shot. Some of the 5 others I was riding with turned around because they thought something had happened to me.

Would you mind PMing the route to me?

Right now I have something sort of mapped out in google maps but it could be improved.

I reckon I could do that. I'm kinda going in 20 different directions this evening, I'll send you something in the morning.

If you're heading up Wednesday we could tag along if you don't mind.

That was the original plan but the coffee deal is picking up. Can't complain, at least when we finally get there I'll be carrying some folding money.

If you make it up to Corning, NY; you may want to go a little east over towards Elmira, NY to Harris Hill and see the gliders taking off next to the soaring museum. (easiest access to Harris Hill is from rt. 352).
Also, there is a fox pizza in Galeton. Keep an eye out for wildlife: alot of deer and an occasional bear.
