I assume you mean 'VS', the new name of OLN.

In any case, I don't see this in the guide data. Do you have a URL about it?

Interesting thing about both Long Way Round and Race To Dakar is that Charlie appers to not like what he's doing. You'd think, with all the money behind him, he would truly enjoy the experience and have fun, but all he does is complain. At times he sounds like a spoiled brat.

But then, maybe it's just me. One thing I know is, if someone gave me an opportunity to do something like this, I would have the widest grin on my face, permanently.

Just my two cents.

Doug.

Ya - watched it last night.... I wasn't too impressed I must say, but thats maybe becasue I'm at the end of DISK 2 of Long Way Round (again) - so I've seen Charley's face on a regular basis over the last week. I was hoping this would be a little different than LWR - but no, they even have the little DIARY CAMs ...and the themesong... ... can I say lounge singer ? LOL

BUT, regardless of what I don't like about it - I'll still probably watch the entire series and then get the DVD... I'm sure once I get past the awful themesong and seeing what's up Charley nose from the diary cams, I'll learn to enjoy it and will probably end up really liking it... The Dakar race is very interesting, so we'll see how this whole thing unfolds

It's a" British thing " , to appear uninterested and complain slightly .
We tend to understate things .
But he must be enthusiastic otherwise he wouldn't be doing it - would he ?
urhm would he ?

Figures.
I have had the extended version of LWR for months, and can't get through with the first disk. its too painful.... slow, puffy, like a bad soap opera.
And yes, he seems like he needs a good slap across the chops to adjust his attitude.

After watching "Dust to Glory" about 10 times, Boorman looks more like he belongs with the Starbucks crowd.

What's so bad about Charley? I mean if a middle aged, out of shape actor can be able to do the Dakar then so can anyone. He is positively inspirational.

I have to give him and Ewan props for bring motorcycling into our homes.*

Last week someone commented that the "Race to Dakar" will be airing on ABC on 11-30-06 @ 2030hrs. To date I have been unable to confirm but am hoping that it will.
