Never mind the bicycles...that bike up there sure is a beauty. And nice options.

I'd ride that....how much severance is Warper giving me in a year or so??? That bike may be a better investment than RRSPs....

CCM....I had a few CCM bicycles. Compagnie des Cochons Mardeux. But I should restore the one I have here, belonged to the old guy who owned my house before. As old as me that bike...runs fine.

17 liters fuel? Run it bone empty, at their claimed mileage, that's 375kms.

To me, that's real world 275. Not enough.

Ccm & ccm

They are two different things.

CCM, formerly an initialism for Canada Cycle & Motor Co. Ltd., is a sporting goods brand. The brand is held by two separate entities both maintaining the CCM trademark, one (The Hockey Company, now a subsidiary of Reebok)[1] manufacturing ice hockey equipment and the other, CCM (cycle) manufacturing bicycles.

Clews Competition Machines or CCM for short, is a British motorcycle manufacturer based in Bolton, England. CCM was born out of the collapse of BSA's Competition Department in 1971

From the interwebs!

Very nice. Really thinking hard about this one, esp. since only 12 of these are being imported in the first year.

I understand the 12K price tag (limited manufacturing, niche design spec, etc), just not sure i can justify it for ME... tough one

There are more than twelve coming.

I like the idea of this bike, but as I've come to love on my GSA, I need more fuel when I go out.

Not sure if you have been on the main CCM thread in thumpers but I mention there that CCM was talking about coming out with an additional tank for the bike to bring it up to dakar spec requirements (~30L).

At the listed specs of 4.5L/100km thats about 666km range, or if going by your numbers should be 500km.

Im not sure if the engine management is still bmw spec but BMW's are know for making very fuel efficient engine designs, for example the x-challenge 650 gets 4.5L/100km as verified by Colebatch on his travels to Siberia. I wouldn't doubt that this 450 would achieve a similar number...

That would work. Until I can get eyes on it, it's hard to tell from pics how easy it'll be to upgrade the capacity.
