You are right , but even that I am sure there are kits to low the 1190 adv r , I ve seen them somewhere on the web.....

Alex said he is still working on a few of the details, but 275 & 285 travel kits should be available in a few months. Sounds promising!!!! I like speed and I like staying on my bike at speed even more, so a well set up suspension is a must!

I guess for this Kind of Bike ideal travel shall be around 265mm/265mm.
Back in 2003 KTM released the 950 adv S version with 265/265 and since then every update meant to reduce that travel till the 245mm of the last 990 adv R , and now the 1190 advi R comes with 220/220 which for me is the limit, lower than that is the street bikes world.

So the 265 /265 proposed lately by that onlins setup seen here or that setup konflikt is working in, will do the deal for me.

Hi ebrew

Actually I did not email them , this thread has been the only place where I communicated with them.

I will send an email to the konflict address at their site.

Good idea

Regards

Any updates? Is it 265, 275, 285 or 300?

For me, I don't need the suspension lift because I am a gun rider, it is because I am not that I need the extra forgiveness that longer suspension gives. I see Chris Birch comfortably clearing obstacles with the standard suspension, these same obstacles I would hit half way up and bottom the suspension out.

I was recently on a 14 day ride where an 1190r pushed his rear tyre up through his mud guard. It smashed the guard and the battery and several electrical items spilled out. We managed a trail side fix, but even a reputable ktm dealer could not get his computer to work properly afterwards. It was stuck in sport mode.....it became a handful in the wet clay of the Victorian high country a week later! The bike had knobbies on it and was lightly loaded for a two week trip. (Aside from this mishap, the bike performed quite well over all types of off road terrain).

It was not a jump, merely an erosion washout along a station track. I was riding a 690 and I was bottoming out as well - luckily for me no damage.

We are currently working on things still, we have shifted our direction as we were not satisfied with the original plans. A new option will be coming available soon.
Keep in mind we are a single operator shop, keeping up with the demands as well as R&D on the new products takes us a bit of time, more than some but we want things to be exactly the performance and quality it should be.
