Question Can I Transmogrify 950 Wheels Into 990 Wheels?

I bought a set of 950 wheels from an inmate last year, and & I was wondering if 990 rotors, tone rings, etc., can simply bolt up to the 950 hubs. I seem to remember the casting numbers on the front hubs were the same, but that's as much as I know at this point.

Please help me get my odometer back.

From a thread about swapping brake calipers between 950/990:

I bought a binned 990 mainly for it's engine and wheels only to find out that the front wheels story doesn't work.

The rear has a different spacer too, but the wheel works, you just need the different spacers to change between the two.

Interestingly, the sprocket & cush hub bearings are different but there are no inter swopping issues.

So...yes, you can bolt the 990 rotors and rings onto the 950 wheels and install them on your 990. Long answer, I know...I just wanted to be clear for the next person to come along wondering a similar thing.

Can you transmogrify them? I don't know, do you have the right cardboard box?
