Well, Im back from riding the Dacre with the Cylops H4 installed...sorry, no pics...I was concetrating on riding....but I will say this: AWESOME! I couldn't have asked for a better bulb replacement than this for the 990.

I felt super confident tearing down single track in the dark with the amount of light it put out. I did have a set of Aux lights as well, but the Cyclops H4 was doing most of the work.

Thanks again for developing this thing!

WE have found they fit under the factory covers on most bikes. On others that they do not, like the high beam on the F800 the fan completely fills the hole and makes a very nice install.

We are waiting for the word from an S10 customer who should be installing any day.
No, not yet. I am hoping verify fit before dropping the cash.

Has anyone run the H4 bulb in the KTM 990 Supermoto - T? Not sure if it is CANBUS or not, but I know the Supermoto T runs a different light set up than the 990 Adventure.

Thanks,

Lou

Gen 1 KLR

Ok. So has anyone put this bulb in the Gen 1 KLR?
Does it have better coverage and is it brighter than the halogen bulb?
Any pictures/video?
I'm thinking about upgrading to this bulb, but need to know if it is worth it before I drop that kind of money on a bulb.

Maybe someone else can comment specifically, There will be no Canbus issue. Im not 100% about the bulb fitting in the SM, it does fit in the Adv AND se

Length from the bulb base to the back of the fan is approx. 1.5 inches, we have sold several that went into 500exc's

Hopefully someone will chime in

There are some post earlier in this thread that address the gen one KLR. Its a great improvement and IMO is one of the best candidates for this bulb, mostly due to the electrical challenges of the KLR.

Like all Cyclops products if you are not 100% satisfied you can return for a refund.
I know of no other electrical supplier that will offer the same.

I would just hate paying shipping both ways and ending up with nothing.
That's why I'm hoping someone did this on a Gen 1 already.

Thanks! Do you have the overall length of the unit with that long metal piece in the rear included? Or is that included in the measurement given? And would I need a rectifier?

There is no long metal piece in the rear?
the dim was total from the base to the back of the bulb, where you would be concerned on steering neck clearance. It did not include the part that is inside the headlight shell
No Rectifier required on the 500

KLR gen 2 H7 and H11 in the house

We are checking out a new style that looks promising for the 08 and newer KLR.
Fan cooled, no external driver design that we have committed too and know threw testing that its the best route.

I would like to offer one of the bulbs to an ADV Member at no charge who tried the Existing H7 bulb in their 08 + KLR and had to return it due to fit issues.

speak up if this is you

We also now have H11 bulbs available, however we wont put those on the site until next week after the Touratech rally.
We want to make sure there are no Canbus issues with the 1190

If you have a bike that uses H11 with no Canbus we can set you up now.

I can understand that.
