IIRC, the distance a headlight (regardless of bulb type) will produce light is entirely dependent on the reflector. You will have more light in the same area and may see objects at a greater distance (but only because there is more light).

YMMV,

We found it easier to remove the headlight, Very easy the two side screws remove and the entire headlight pulls out the front.
I cant remember if we tossed or cut a hole the boot

YMMV,
I would believe that is most, if not all of the case. Until the light source has been re-engineered, as is this case. A reflector can only do the same job if what it is reflecting stays in the same location, right?

That's the same post that brought me concerns.
Sorry if it seems I'm being picky but I don't want to spend more money on things I don't fully understand and will be disappointed with later.

Laugh BOOM Shakalaka!

I see the D2S Projector retrofit I did last year going away for a set of these. One thing I miss about "normal" H4 bulbs vice the projectors is the size of the light oncoming drivers see farther away from you during the day (conspicuity).

Love it.

Jerry

Thanks
I haven't messed around a whole lot with Projector beams.

I can understand this bulb may not be for everyone. To each their own.
But Ive never met a rider who did not appreciate being able to see better. This LED bulb certainly does do that.

Giving it a try

Okay, I ordered one and will fit it in to one side of my TT dual headlight for the R1100GS -- that is if it fits. Test it out for awhile and if I like it order one for the other side as well. Any suggestions on which side I should try it on first, centerline (left) or fog line (right)? Might work nice as a combination of both Halogen and LED. I like the white light these are putting out in the photos. The last post sure shows the difference. The big trailee has a lot of electrical output, but like the idea of LEDs that last a long time and save wattage for things like auxiliary lighting and heated gear. Gary

A Duke followed me home yesterday. Anybody put one in a2013/14 690 Duke? It has an H4 bulb and looks like it should work.
